Tuesday, July 5, a new phase begins to acquire tickets for the World Cup and GOAL tells you how you can secure your place.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is just around the corner, and fans worldwide are already starting to plan to travel to the first World Cup to be held in the Middle East in history. And among the preparations, a key aspect is the tickets.
After the first phase of selling VIP seats, on January 19 the general sale of tickets was enabled, which -as always- was carried out in a differentiated way between the general public and residents of the organizing country.
The World Cup will start on Sunday, November 20, and end on Monday, December 18, with the final being played at the Lusail National Stadium.

HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?
Tickets can only be obtained through the official FIFA site, where those interested must create a user that allows them to sign up to purchase tickets for the different matches.
In the first stage of sale, which began on January 19 and ended on March 31 after the World Cup draw, there were three types of tickets available: per match, team subscriptions (which allow you to follow a National Team for the entire participation in the tournament) and season tickets for four venues.
Once registered, users must choose the type of tickets they want to access (with a maximum of six per game and 60 in total), although the selection does not guarantee the purchase: if there are more requests than tickets available, a draw to be held on a date to be confirmed. As reported, the allocation of locations will not be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once the draw has been made, all those registered will receive an email informing them of the result of their application and giving them the steps to follow to definitively buy the tickets.
In this first phase of sales, moreover, tickets cannot be purchased for two matches played on the same day. Once this stage was completed, the second phase of sales was carried out, which was also by lottery and the results of which will be announced on May 31.
WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE TICKETS?
Each match of the 2022 World Cup will have four categories of tickets, of which number 4 will be exclusively for residents of Qatar, and its price will be established in Qatari riyals, the official currency of the organizing country.
The values ​​will be different depending on the instance of the matches and will not vary between venues.

VENUES
The 2022 Qatar World Cup will feature eight stadiums in five cities, all of which are very close to each other: the maximum distance between venues is just 46 kilometers. The main one will be Lusail, in Al Daayen, which will host the opening match and the final. It is currently under construction and will have a capacity of 94,500 people.
